Which cables for XH-A1 to IKAN V8000HDe?

Hi!

I just bought a field monitor (IKAN V8000Hde), but I don't have the adequate cables to connect it to my A1. The monitor uses BNC.

Can anybody tell me which model of cable I should get to be able to connect my camera from "component out" to the field monitor, without using an adapter?

Thank you!

Thank you for the info.

But is that the best way to connect, in order to obtain the best out of the monitor?
I read that component RGB is the best in terms of color and definition. Now how would I connect with component?

The A1 comes with a component cable. To go into the Ikan you'll need 3 BNC to RCA adapters that screw onto the BNC port of the monitor.

Thank's Huy Vu, that's what I'm probably going to do.
But the issue is that the XH A1 component out cable is kind of too long for a monitor mounted on camera setup.

Doesn't there exist a short component cable that I connect directly from the XH A1 "component out" output to the BNC monitor?

Does that place make component cable with a D4 end? That would be the one that the A1 uses. The ones on the site looks like it's RCA to RCA only which is fine for extension but not usable for a shorter cable length.

I was asking him that but he didn't understand my discription over the phone.
I'm heading there next week to show him and he will let me know if he can get that end in.

Final Cut Pro and iMovie on my Mac G4 tower are unable to read from my A1. My previous camera had DV to firewire cable and worked fine. I have a hot project to get out and need help!

Let me know about that. I'd be interested in a shorter one myself.

You'll probably want to ask this question in the FCP section, but the first step is usually to isolate the problem to try and figure out whether it's the camera or the computer that's at fault. Does another machine recognizes the camera? Have you try replacing the FW board on the computer?
