I just purchased a new 17" MBP and I'm looking for external HDD to create a mirrored raid. There is a chance I may be traveling over seas and into areas that don't have accessible power in the field (other than a utility plug in a car)
Does anyone have any suggestions on which drives I should buy or if it is even advisable to use buss powered drives. I've heard that one of the most important things to consider with any drive is ventilation. I've noticed that most buss powered drives don't seem to have cooling fans.
I would appreciate any help possible.
