When you bought your Lilliput Monitor did it come with the right HDMI cable for a 7D?

I just got a 7" Lilliput Monitor (669HB) and their lithium-ion 6 hour battery to marry with a canon 7d

Does anyone remember if you have to get a different HDMI cable? The HDMI cable that came with it doesnt fit the Canon 7D port.

Anyone also get the LI battery? I also noticed the lithium-ion battery doesnt seem to light up with plugged in - error? or it doesnt light up when charging?

anyone have these issues or familiar with this hardware?

You need to use a HDMI to mini HDMI cable. As far as I know, they do not come with them.

My monitor didnt come with a HDMI to mini HDMI! Could have ordered a good one from coollcd for like 5 dollars!

I have no idea bout the battery issue, as i own a different model!

Just for future reference Lilliput monitors dont come with the mini-HDMI port cable - you have to buy it separately
Also - the extended life batteries they sell dont report they are charging, you have to press the button to check if it charged up all the way

Pretty sure I ordered it from another company...dont think it came with one.

Actually, what you REALLY want is the mini - to full size HDMI swivel adapter. Sort of like a little hinge with a male mini on one side and a female full size on the other. Trust me. It's pretty handy.

I totally messed up and didnt get one from coollcd!
Know how much I paid? $36 dollars from bestbuy!!!!
I think i can return it - i guess i better order one from newegg or something.
$36!!!!!

I think the Li-Ion battery is fully charged - it just doesnt report its charging - so I will be testing that out to see if I get the full 6 hours.

mine came with one (hdmi to mini hdmi) the cable looked cool red and black but it didn't really work everytime i moved the camera it disconnected. my friend and i both got one, i have a 60d and he's got a 7d and it did the same thing on both. i told the guy i bought it from so maybe he doesn't include them anymore. bought from ebay lilliput based in east l.a.

See my quote above - I could never get comfy with the mini-to-full HDMI; the swivel mini-to-full adapter is great, since it points the cable in a better direction to loop around to the screen. They're like 10 or 15 bucks.

Amazon is also great for affordable HDMI cables - I have no idea what the local stores are thinking charging 25 bucks for the same cable that goes for $5 on Amazon, eBay, etc.

I just popped for monoprice for cables! wow! even shipping is cheap. I love it! Thanks for showing the forum that place for those that didnt know about it.

Im gonna try to return this cable to Bestbuy as soon as it arrives - $36 bux -vs- $3 bux. wowzer

yeah i love that damn site. It can be dangerous though because i will be browsing after a couple of beers and wake up with an order for 50foot cables
