C100: When will we see Canons NAB announceents

Planning on buying a c100 on Monday but just want to ensure a new one isn't coming, when will canon make their NAB announcements?

They already have. As many of us said early on, no new Cx00 cams. They have a new cine zoom(a Canon Cabrio, if you will), two XF camcorders, some announced firmware for the C500 and at least one broadcast (2/3") lens. There may be some other stuff, but if you're just worried about the C100 being obsolesed(by Canon, at least), you are good.

as far as i understand even of canon has something new in mind it does not mean that canon will make an announcement exactly at NAB, they seems to follow other strategy...
 
You're welcome, John. NAB actually does start this weekend, but it's mostly just seminar type fare. What most people think of as NAB, the exhibits/toy show, starts Monday morning.
 
You are probably safe in your C100 purchase in that there will probably be no new C series hardware but there may be some new firmware updates which yor new purchase should qualify for.

(There's a lot of probablys, 1 may and a should in that sentence - in other words we won't know until this week ends.)
