when will next line come out?

I am looking to buy a A1 soon but worried that Canon will bust a new line out a month later. Its been some time now and just wondering if anyone knows any secrets ;)

They usually have a 18 month rotation on their Digi SLR's. Same with video cameras?

I didnt really search too hard to see if anything was introduced at NAB this past April but doesnt seem like anything new and exciting was shown by Canon......right?
 
the a1 just came out so i doubt canon will have a new line for a while.

in the electronics market, there will always be upgrades just around the corner. and theoretically, you could keep waiting for the next upgrade until you're 80 years old. might as well get it now and have fun with it.
 
While you might get stupified by a new model in 6 months, I say go for it now. Probably marginal upgrades, etc.

Fact is, the A1 is a great camera, and it'll be a great camera in 2 years. Maybe not as great as the theoretical Canon A2.
