Any news on when the next HVX200 will come out? Will Panny call it HVX200a?

I haven't bought an HVX200 because I felt burnt when I bought the DVX100 and then the DVX100a came out with all the features I thought the DVX100 was missing.

Unfortunately the next model of anything always follows the one that is earlier; it is an inevitability! :)

Search the forum, it's been discussed over and over.

Why do you feel burnt? Allot of us that Have HVX's right now are shooting and making money while you're waiting for the next version to come out that could be quite some time away.

So, I can payback the cost of the HVX, put enough money aside to buy the next version or model or whatever Panasonic decides to come out with and you'll either still be waiting or just getting started.

If you have a need for the HVX, buy it now. Don't live your life waiting for the next version to come out.

I had a friend who wanted to buy a computer when the first Pentiums came out. He had heard about the Pentium 2 coming out and wanted to wait because he could then pick up an original Pentium cheap. This went on until well after the Pentium 3 came out.
So, while he was waiting for the next version to come out, I was learning, creating and selling. Kind of foolish if you ask me.

So, if you need to shoot HD, but the HVX. If you don;t have a need then wait and see if something comes out down the road.

I gotta run, I have to go shoot some stock footage of an Iowa sunset with my HVX. :)

Not again?!

This keeps being bought up again and again. Please run a search before re-posting speculation.
