AC160 When do you think the AC 130/160 will be replaced or something similar coming out?

You can bet that every year that Galaxy Phone is replaced with a new model. And it seems Nikon comes out with new models every year. Like my Nikon D7100 will last for another year, but it seems Panasonic takes a little longer. Like the HMC150, that was around for a long time, and the 130/160 is something like 2 1/2 years now.

I saved up some money, and just waiting for a new model to appear of the AC series. Like a new model of the AC160. It would be great if they made a new HMC150 model, but that is a dream.

Anyway, any clue or whispers out there when any new releases might happen? Is it weeks, months, years?

I do like the fact that when Panasonic comes out with something, it lasts a long time and they make fixes and improvements to their product. Great quality control. That is why I would like to support the company for a long time. Reading many posts here, you can see people really start to master their camera after a couple of years of experience. I am still learning on my HMC150. It seems like an old and reliable friend.

No clue, but when they do come out with a replacement/upgrade for the 160 I hope it will have the following:

auto-focus (that works), 5-axis stabilization, wider-range audio volume dials, AVC-Ultra codecs and 4K recording (so that if you have to crop you end up with something nice to display in 1920/1080p).

Too much, I suppose, to ask for seamless ND filtering at a remote controller. Its kind of pointless to have on/off, focus, zoom, and iris at a remote but have to reach to the front of the camera to change the ND setting.

Anyone care to guess when we will have a camera where we would be able to see what the camera sees as a small area on a large monitor, lasso an area on the monitor, trace out a trajectory to get to the new framing with your finger and have the camera follow the arc to the selected target?

who knows what Panny plans to do but, I would like to see a larger chipped camera, fast better auto focus and a better dynamic range.
