Whats the new Nikon?

I'd love it if there was a D700 type body with awesome video. I have about 15 Nikon lenses and I'd rather go full frame and not adapt them to a Canon.

How about this?

They don't work that way? Sure they do. They put out s models all the time. The D90 has been a big seller for NIkon. Make it a D90s with 1080HD extra and it would be too.

That just ain't gonna happen. Nikon doesn't work that way.

They don't help existing Nikon owners by releasing new features via firmware. All they do is fix bugs.
Nikon, I have learned, isn't the most supportive of existing users, IMO.

Some of my best camera's have been the s models. N90s, D70s etc. They do more than firmware. Look at the D300s. They added features too. I agree that it would be nice to see more but for the most part after 25 years of Nikon camera's I'm happy with what I have bought from them.

I would like to see the video side move faster too but the HD-DSLRs are pretty new to everyone. I just hope they are taking their time and doing something right.

You're proving my point while missing my point.

You want new features? Buy a new model, don't expect Nikon to update internal software.

I must have missed your point!! LOL. I would really like to have a 7D but no big hurry to buy anything.
