Whats the deal? can't attach AG7200 to my T2i

So i think i have all the right pieces needed to attach it, but for the last 2 months i haven't figured it out. this what i got...

i have the AG7200 with the back mount on it the ring reads: 82mm - 72mm

I have a bunch of rings but don't fit right except when they go backwards.
72mm - 77mm
77mm - 72mm
58mm - 77mm
58mm - 72mm

now every video i've looked at says get these rings but my back of the ag7200 looks different from theres... what gives? am i missing something they are not saying?

The back thread of the panny lens is 72mm but is a bit recessed. Get a 77 to 72 step down ring and attach the 72 side to the lens. Then get an 72 to 77 step up ring and mount it on the previous one. You now have a lens with an 72 thread which is no longer recessed. You just have to use according step rings from your lens to 72 mm.

In these photos you can see how the unit came then with the rings both way and how it wont fit it just lines up the same way but unable to screw on. i've had this thing for 6 years so whats up?

Use the duckt tape to check if its even worth it,IMO its not cause you can onlyfocus on infinity or close lens aperture to get close focus.

it is i seen people use it looks great, i just want to get it to fit but all the parts suggested i have but still no fit.
