GH1 What's that band!

I've discovered a band, in some footage made with a nikon 28mm on a chinese adapter, pretty fix on the body. The band stays on the right. It's sometimes wider, some other times slightly narrower (shown is the narrow case). No band with 14.140.

The frame is color graded, but the band is there in the original as well.

If you have any clue of the possible cause and how to arrange it, please tell me.

You mentioned this was graded, Is the original over exposed as well? Or did you bring up the exposure to enhance the band? I couldn't see it.

Just like the original (overexposed take). The band is lighter by itself.

I put it here because I believe it has something to do with lenses, or adapter, or both. Or with light entering the lens some weird way..

Actually it doesn't happen every time, it depends on some condition I couldn't guess. That's why I'm asking, maybe someone experencied that.

I have bought a new adapter, different make and very solid build, Contax to m43.

And.. I have the very same issue with a Distagon 28mm!
It doesn't happen with stock 14-140.

Does somone have any clue?

Thank you very much.

Okay, I took a shot with lens cap on (plus one hand in front of) my zeiss planar 50.

These bands depend on the adapter. 100% of my adapters DO have this problem. They are simply not designed for the GH1, since the 16/9 in video mode is truly sensor-wider and not image-cropped, producers maybe don't see it.

Moreover, it does not happen always, but depends hugely on casuality (the single piece) and light direction.

Have a check at yours, make some tests, and find that out.

If any adapter had a proven track record, I would like a suggestion. I mostly need the contax-m43.
