C100: What's coming at NAB for the 'C' line?

C50? C150? C200? C350? C400? I can only dream!

Actually my guess is there will be a 'budget' 4k DSLR body
 
I'm not holding my breath for any new C camera yet as Canon seems to view those as more long term cameras. A 7D replacement is a lot more likely. I wouldn't be surprised to see some kind of 4k capability, but fully expect it to be compressed. …I'm such a downer when it comes to speculation!

My sources (very high-end Canon sources) is that there will be a 7D replacement under the 7D MK II name. It wil not be a 4K camera. It will have a 21 million pixels sensor, with the same pixel-bining technology as the 5DIII, thus no moire/aliasing, sharp and detailed image, 60P at 1080p, the dual-pixel autofocus technology + touchscreen (with 3.2" size vs 3"), clean uncompressed 4:2:2 HDMI out, headphone jack, and a VERY fast CF card interface. It will also have a 10 fps burst rate in photo mode, and "1D class build quality" as he put it.

It will retail a "big amount" above the 7D's price when first announced.

If the image quality is high-level as promised, I think this can be a workhorse of a video camera. There's still room for 1080p cameras in the market!

Of course canon is going to update the c-line, compressed 4k, but in a way that will protect c500
 
An EOS C200 - slightly smaller than the C300 same EVF as the C300, better placed than the current C100 LCD, 50/60p and true progressive. And 50mbps 422 just coz im greedy !! :)
 
Nothing, more stupid firmware updates you have to pay for, sucking a few more pennies from a camera we already own.

Call one a C150 with better LCD and 720/50p and I'd be happy and order 2.

if, as is rumored, the NAB will appear C150 to better monitor and AF .. I prefer to wait a bit before sending C100 serviced DUAL PIXEL update
Beter i sale my C100 and buy the new model :-) all included
 
Y'know, I'd be happy if Canon acknowledged a few little issues with the C100/300 and fixed them.

- Please fix the stupid asinine PsF quirk and just do it properly
- Please sort out the chroma interlace
- Please fix the dual channel audio thing so we can adjust the level of the second channel independently
- Please fix the installers of your plug-in software for FCPX so the rest of the users can use it
- Please add a 'giant Audio Levels display' onto the status page, with -20, -18 and -12 marks on it
- Please make the C300 joystick do the same thing as the C100 joystick rather than having to reach to the back and press that itty bitty pair of buttons
- Please allow us to tweak the colour as well as brightness and contrast of the LCD panel

These should be software tweaks, not hardware (at least, I hope it's software - lame if not).
 
They're going to release a £5k external recorder that records ProRes 444 and 4k at 200fps... wait what?
