What's a newb to do? Follow his heart or follow his wallet?

Mavoz I am an Aussie just like yourself and what you came across was an unfortunate mind set that some Australians have... thats Tall poppy syndrome, the salesman you spoke to probably couldnt afford a HVX and thus didnt want some new guy walking in and saying yeah Ill take that thanks. So Ill put him down. This only occurs in a few pockets and this industry is certainly one of them. And I find that very few SALES people get jack **** anyway in Australia.

Get your HVX mate.... do what feels right to you.

Another thing that irks me is miss informed people making comments on things they have little idea about... no names named.

P.S. The HVX is a great camera, go forth and prosper.

"Tall poppy syndrome (TPS) is a pejorative term used in Australia and New Zealand to describe what is seen as a levelling social attitude.

Someone is said to be suffering from tall poppy syndrome when their assumption of a higher economic, social or political position attracts criticism, being perceived as presumptuous, attention seeking or without merit."

Maybe that's why Rupert Murdoch came to the USA. Big :(

On a more pleasant note:
Ever hear the expression "shi...... in tall cotton"? That's a Southern expression meaning something like "we're stylin".
