It's actually shot with the Varicam. [/quote]
I was gonna say. That show is HD. I just finished a movie poster for an independent film that was shot on HD by the same guys who shoot Arrested Development. Sorry Sucka.
And feedback on Unscripted was requested back there...I personally enjoy the show. At first I was all, "Oh great, tell me again how bad you have it as an actor in Hollywood", but the show is growing on me. And Krista Allen is H-Mutha F'in-O-T!!!!! I like the style, but if there's too many more shows like this, it's going to get old, real fast.

Yup, that's the one I was referring to ... It looked like they were cutting DVX footage in with some other ( inferior )footage ;D
The TV station mun2, uses the dvx on the following shows The Roof, Jamz, Fuzion, No Cover and L.a. Streets. I know because I have worked on these shows using my dvx100a.
To Hollywood Pimp:
How was the show edited? If one hooks their DVX up to a TV vs. the footage shown on tv, it's much more smooth on "Unscripted". I figure they use 24p normal.

It is a show called About Town. The guy that shoots it is Matthew Hodgkins, and his company name is 1st Co.

Actually for the pilot the DVX was used to record the flashback sequences... I think that changed though.
I don't like TV shows that use 24p, it's like I don't know
if it's a doc or a reality show anymore
it messes up my brain/eye sight
also those videos from the middle east are PAL 25p
i saw a part of "Wild BOYZ" on MTV and they showed a cameramen who they planted a scorpion or a spider on. he had the DVX and NO mini35mm so part of that show is regular DVX. and it looks great IMO (the content is questionable though)
