What tripod are you using with your AF100?

I have a couple of manfrotto 055XB/701HDV legs/heads tripod set ups which are great for run and gun/quick set up shots - events/vox pops etc
I'm looking for something a bit more heavyweight/stable to use for the AF101 with Olympus 40-150 when its set up as the static cam at the back of the room at awards/conferences

maybe something like this:

Anyone have any alternative recommendations? Doesn't have to be Manfrotto
I can budget up to approx £600 for legs/head combo

Cheers

If 75mm bowl is ok for you, I bought second hand Miller Solo 2 stage alloy sticks, and couldn't be happier. They also go down to about 10 inches if need be.

To answer the titular question, the tripod I most often use with my AF100 is a Sachtler DV6SB head (sorta kinda like the current FSB8), 75mm bowl, with a set of Miller Solo DV 2-stage carbon fiber legs. This combo will go VERY low by spreading the legs out, is rock solid at normal eye level height, and is light and compact enough to travel with easily.

My second tripod is another set of the same Miller legs with a Vinten Vision Blue head. Not quite as refined as the Sachtler, but in practice it works very smoothly.

However, I'm afraid that either of these rigs is well above the OP's stated budget.

I'm using the Vinten Vision Blue head and legs.
Couldn't be happier once it's dialled in correctly.

Ah really, was really close to getting the Vinten set up but ended up going with the Sachtler 1011 ACE L MS CF System

Personaly one brand i wont recommend is Miler air tripods to anyone,i spent a lot on one and hate it.Should not have kept i know.

Whats up with the Miller's @flinty ? never had any experience of them myself
It may be we just dont get on,but i just hate mine, the way the legs lock up all the time, where you get the right level with the subject in the centre and it still very often drops that bit so by the time i have re,leveled my subject is gone,i just cant get the pans i should,i have a velbon 1/8th the price and the quality of my footage is only slightly better with Miller.

Haha, yeah - i used to have a Velbon, it was good enough that I often questioned why I bothered upgrading to the Manfrotto (which to be honest, wasnt that much better)
