Hi everyone

I have an instructional video for the web to produce and was wondering what's the best format to record in, using the HVX-200

what would be the best setting to shoot in and output for the web.

Thanks in advance

Hi Trinton5,
Progressive is the most important recording format to choose (interlacing looks terrible on the web and on LCDs. If it were me, I would also shoot in HD. HD down converts very well and will give you better looking SD / web resolutions, plus HD titles, even when down converted, look much better than SD titles.

One more factor, you can save 20% on your file size just by shooting in 24pn in stead of 30p. This is really, really handy for the web - it leaves more head room in your file size for quality.

Thanks Jason @ Awakenedfilms

I think I may go with the 720p24PN setting as suggested, just an additional querie, would you down convert through compressor or output through quicktime conversion?

Cheers

i have to echo the 72024pN suggestion...i've had fantastic results for it, and normally go out via quicktime conversion.
