What to adjust for better low light?

Other than Barry's "Lolite" scene file, which I use quite often, does anyone use any of the default scene file settings for lowlight? If so, which one of the settings (v. detail, master ped, etc..) do you adjust to maximize better low light quality? Thanks!

Since I don't have Barry's book, what are the settings of the lolite scene file?

Since I like to shoot in 24p, I'll set the shutter if absolutely necessary to 1/24 as opposed to the standard 1/48 or "Off" (which I think defaults to 1/50). It about doubles the amount of light, but at the expense of increased motion blur, so it depends on the situation and if the trade off is worth it.

really depends on what you want to achieve.
if you want a brighter image or more range you can use cineD gamma and raise the master ped. you'll get more noise though too and might try increasing coring to compensate.
