What the... XHA1s Problem

The camera worked fine all morning. I changed batteries and powered the camera back up to find this...photo.jpg

This is the image I get. If I record, this is what is recorded.

It appears on the LCD screen as well as the viewfinder. When I switch the camera to playback mode, the LCD and viewfinder operate normally.
 
your going to have to call Canon for this one. You are probably going to have to send it in for repair.
 
I can't tell from that picture, but is there an image on the top half or is it just white? Also, does it do that in 24 and 30F? Photo mode?
Video One Repair may be able to fix it for cheaper as well. Canon want $500 for service no matter what from my understanding, plus whatever parts you might need. They fixed a back focus problem on my A1 for only $275.
 
good info Moseph! My a1 has not had any problems yet , "knock on wood" but if it does , Ill give Video one repair a call.
