What "Scene" setting for Green Screen?

I just finished Barry's book, and have realized how powerful the "Scene" settings in the camera can be. He goes over many different shooting situations, but I didn't see any scene settings or recomendations for greenscreen work (unless I missed it). For example, should the "Detail" and "Chroma" properties be turned up (for sharper edges, and more saturated colors)? What about the color matrix?

Does anyone have any good scene settings for ChromaKey work? When searching this site, I found a posting for scene settings for the DVX-100, but since that camera shoots at a different resolution and using different color compression, I figured those scene settings would be useless for the HVX. By the ways, Barry if you are reading this, your book completely rocks. I no longer just point-and-shoot with the default settings in "Auto" mode, and my footage is rewarding me for it.

The settings will be similar. How you light the set when you shoot will be more important than any camera setting.

Glad to hear it's helping you get better footage!

For settings, turn the detail level down a bit, you don't want oversharpened edges. Look for Jim Arthurs' posts here, he's an EFX master and he's done amazing greenscreen work with the HVX. He recommends detail level -3, and you'd probably want to go with cinelike-V gamma to minimize video noise as well.

OK, after reviewing several of Jim's posts, like Barry suggested, I found the that these seem to be the best settings (or at least a good starting point)...

CineV
Detail -3
Chroma +2
Master ped -2
Matrix normal
