General What rig do you think was used in this video?

hmm..can u specify a timecode for the movement ur talking about? cuz nothing really jumps out at me...i see the cam moving in ways that one can achieve with a shoulder rig and a very wid angle lens.

i'd say shoulder rig for the steps and glidecam for the table. I can achieve the steps shot with a shoulder rig but not the table shots. so maybe they just used a glide cam for it all.

possibly a tripod mounted to the lens, allowing the shot angle and lens angle to shift, on a fluid head of course

Does anyone have an idea how he did his colors in those videos? Was it with 3-way or Apple Color?

Honestly, he probably used a color plugin other than those. Color is still a pretty basic program when compared to AE and Premiere and some of the third party plugins for CS5. It looks to me like they shot it real flat, and then upped the contrast but with a cooler white balance.

can anyone help with color correcting? I am working on a video that I want to look like the videos I posted... I am using Final Cut Pro & learning Apple Color? Whats the best way to go?

The first thing I personally do when color correcting is make sure all of the shots are properly white balanced and very very similar in their colors/lighting (so you can copy and tweak effects instead of editing 30 different cuts independently). And make sure you shoot as flat as possible. They added a very contrasty feel in some of the shots and in order to get that without loosing your details in the shadows and highlights you need to shoot with a low saturation and contrast. Personally though, every color correction project is different, just have fun with the settings. Experiment with moving the white balance and saturation and play with the presets in color or the 3-way. Also, if you are serious about learning color correction get some of the boris/red plugins. They are fantastic and some of them (magic bullet looks) are very easy to use.
