what monitor are you editing on?

i use CRT 19'
CRTs ftw!!! (:
until better FASTER TFT/LCD moniters have faster reffresh rates

Agree 100%, the only fall down is weight - not that it bothers me. CRT is still better period. I researched this recently to the enth degree and its not until you get up between 15k and 20k that youre getting to where a high resolution crt is. Though if you dont have the HD-SDI board on that monitor I would recommend you get one and your set for quite a bit longer.

I think there needs to be a distinction made here.

Editing on is one thing.

Grading on is a whole other beast.

For editing Im using a 30" Apple HD Cinema display - I use it for my user interface for all programs on my system. Cutting does NOT require accurate calibration as there arent any critical colour decisions being made. My apple display is calibrated for photoshop using a Xrite eye one two.

For grading I am using a 19" CRT and a 58" Panasonic PF12 Plasma calibrated to rec.709.

i'm really happy with my $150 22" 1080p Acer H213H.
i'm only delivering content to the web right now and with my current Avid DNxHD -> H.264 mp4 workflow, what i see on my monitor is exactly the same as what i see when viewing the final videos on youtube on an iphone, ipad, any LED screen or any half-decent lcd on anyone else's computer.
