what kind of spot light should I get to illuminate top of heads for interviews???

For an upcoming Canon 7D shoot, does anyone know if the Litepanels Sola 6 would be a good light for lighting the top of people's heads for talking head interviews?

I already have the 1x1 litepanel for my keylight, and would need a good top light.

Would it be possible to use the Litepanels mini as a top light or would a focused spot light be more suitable?

Thanks in advance for any feedback.

Firstly, you dont want to light the tops of their heads. What youre looking for is to rim them in a position that works for the style of interview you are doing and that can heavily dpend on your subject or subject matter.

To simplify it a little - the kicker is generally used to give separation in your shot. So the subject doesnt look flat against the background and its only one method of doing so.

Check out some of the stuff on this site for basics from a pro - http://www.bluesky-web.com/index-5.html

Also, Id highly recommend getting in on this by our own Barry Green and David Jimerson - http://www.dvxuser.com/articles/dvxshop/LightDVD/

The bluesky site as some very useful information.
Thanks for posting the link.
I will send it along to a couple of friends who still suffer from the
"all you need is a good lowlight camera and some fast lenses" syndrome.
