What is your dream car?

I am working late and bored as hell.

This is the end-all-be-all for me. I LOVE this car and have since I was a kid. I told my wife when I leave her for a 20 year old in 30 years, this is what I'm buying.:2vrolijk_08:

I'm gonna need a fast car... Faster than that, faster than that...

-Burt Reynolds

I have so many cars that I like, and right now the Corvette ZR1 is a STRONG contender, but a Porsche 962 would be most welcome as would a Nissan GTP-ZX Turbo. A 550 Spyder would be nice for tooling around too.

My brother went through THREE of the smokey/bandit cars! That was 20 years ago and guess what he wants now? He always says that if he ever comes into some cash he's gonna' buy another one of those... just like that... black w/ the bird.

My dream car? It doesn't exist yet... but when you read about a car that flies and runs on crabgrass you'll know which one I want.

Richard Johnson, you just shot up sixty notches in my book. That right there is the ultimate.

Did you see Kevin Morgan's concept car for what he hoped might become a Trans Am based on the new Camaro?

Check it out with the T-tops... even if it's blue...

I gotta say, 2009 reliability and fuel economy and performance, combined with the style of the '77-'78 Bandit, would have to be pretty much the ideal.

Of course, if you hit it big, you could always buy a BRAND NEW Bandit edition...

It costs $130,000... but ... man...

I shot an infomercial once for a company that was making a super-duper-car polish, and to show it off we went to the Shelby factory in Vegas, and tested the polish on a mirror-finish Cobra. Mirror-finish. The whole thing was a perfectly-reflecting piece of polished silver metal. Try lighting THAT...

Barry, do you remember the company? I am a detailer and am always curious about these things. Of course, I am pretty pleased with what I use, but...

Speaking of Shelby's, that's my dream car. I've wanted a Mustang since I was 14 (I'm pushing 32). Shelby Mustang... Blue w/ white stripes, or black w/ satin black stripes (ala the defunct Knight Rider reboot)

Jason... that Toyota Alphard is crazy... I had to go look it up.

Awesome find.

The thing has an LED projector inside the top of the door frame, to project a virtual "red carpet" for you to enter on...

They make a hybrid version too. A review I found said that the space and comfort inside "equals or exceeds that of Lexus or Mercedes limousines"! Looks like the hybrid version starts at 3.6 million yen, or about $350,000 or so.

heh, heh... yeah... very expensive... They hybrid gets like 40MPG though, if I remember :)

When, we went to indonesia, we'd see these pull up at places all the time, the door would slide open and a rich chinese family would get in or out, while we were waiting on our clunker to come pick us up :)

later,
Jason

Not offhand. I wasn't the producer, just the shooter. I remember that on that same gig we got to meet Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top... He was involved somehow, I don't know if as a principal or as an endorser...

I was supposed to go to Indonesia last month, trip got canceled but if we reschedule, now I know what I'm gonna demand: wheatgrass juice, no red m&m's in the bowl, and by gum, a Toyota Alphard as a taxi!

(I'll settle for a rickshaw, of course!) :D

By the way, while we're filing requests, I'll take one of these too...

I think even Matt Gettemeir might get along with one of those. Doesn't run on crabgrass, but it's about as close as you can get and still hit 60mph under 4 seconds.

I always likened this to the automotive equivalent of the Red One. And they're building an equiv. of the Scarlet, too; the "Model S" is supposed to have an MSRP of only $49,900.
