I pretty much do mine in the last 48hrs anyway... oye. Why put it off till tomorrow when you can put it off till the next day.
Really? I usually shoot mine in about two days. Three or four hours each shoot.Mine will take the full time span to make!
And this one will be even harder to do in the time span.
but you don't know the time span yetit won't be any different than all the other fests... everyone will have at least 3 full months.
i'll probably need that to come up with a good idea. so far all i have for a spaghetti western is 5 minutes of me eating a bowl of spaghetti with chili powder in it. the twist is, i'm not using a fork.

Second time I've tried typing this post.
I fail to see the vast variety of possibilities here.
I've spoken to a few people already and the possibility of creating a film based on 'The History of Western America' (especially OUTSIDE the states) isn't very enthusiastic. Along with the need for horse backs and the increasing amount of people discussing weponary and gun fights. It seems to me this fest genre is aimed more at the professional independant filmmakers.
Everyone knows I love and respect this forum, but eh. This fest..
I still look forward to seeing how people develop there films, but I do hate westerns.
So I don't know why I'm posting.
But I do hope I can be englightened / corrected.
I know exactly how u feel. so far it just seems like they are filtering out everyone who cant afford to dump a sh** ton of money into their entries with this one. I personally think it would be more open if they allowed us to do any range of westerns, including space westerns or even modern day westerns. where the story and way it's shot can be in a western style but the time period can be set whenever.
