And what about aperture control, there doesn't appear to be aperture ring on the tokina?
Use a adapter with a aperture adjuster, Novoflex makes one and so does ciecio7

Not trying to start a debate but always plan ahead. I bought the Tokina 11-16 f2.8 Nikon mount, used it on my GH1, now its on my 7D. It will sit on a RED one day I hope. 4/3rds lenses leave you boxed in a corner, you're stuck on the 4/3rds system.
Is it necessary to be constantly rhetorical? Whether you intend it or not, it ends up being very condescending and patronizing. Let me reiterate... I'm not a dummy. Forget that I used that term.
When in post (after effects) there is a need to choose cameras, edit focal depths and manipulate scenes according to precise camera FOV mathematics. When buying FD lenses... knowing the difference a 15mm "fisheye" lens will have DOES matter. To not have a frame of reference is stupid.
Perhaps the comparison to a 35mm film camera is the difference? Many have said there is only a 30% difference in FOV...Barry, need your filling in the pieces here.
This one might come close to actually filling the frame, and at 2.7mm it's extremely wide, and at f/1.8 it's really fast too.

Not so much fisheye, more goldfish bowl!Oh, and if you want a wide angle lens on a GH1, you could always use this...

A better question would be, What is the widest rectilinear lens for the GH1?
(especially as most of us are doing narrative work)
Yes, that's because all 50mm lenses provide the exact same FOV for any given image format (like Micro Four-Thirds).One thing that's important to remember is that the FOV at 50mm on the stock GH1 lens is the same as a 50mm Canon FD lens.
