What is the Warp Speed effect?

There is no actual effect, I think you're just picking up on some Japanese->English translation thing where they're trying to describe what 12fps looks like.

What is Warpspeed?

What is that signature you have going on there Pappas ? It's like Blade Runnner; but not really.

It means you can film something before it actually happens, thereby getting multiple camera angles with one camera on one take.

Hi Barry! On page 8 of the USA brochure .pdf is were that is mentioned.

i think its when you have one person standing still.. and others move around very very fast....

(used for self realization effects - or sad breaking moments when the world crumbles around u cinematically...)

Hey neighbor in Temecula.. Are you getting the HVX200?

The way i read it darwinandpaine is, two things ( features ) are brought together to coincide to make one.

Breaking the text down: This technique ( "technique": being lower frame rates 12 to 22 fps- Feature #1 ) can be combined (" combined ": meaning; joining together two elements ) with warp speed effect (referencing something other than the lower fps mode, hence: warp speed effect # 2 element ).

It tells you exactly what it is right there in the brochure --- "Lower-speed shooting at 12 to 22 fps..."

Glad we were able to get that straightned out

Next up on Dvxuser we cover the topic of Ludicrous Speed as special guest Michael Papass dissects and examines the words Lud - ic and rous :cheesy:

Me too John, Life as we knew it could have been hanging in the balance. If every one was shooting in warp seeped mode at once the world could have clasped on its self.

Come on now guys! How do you know why I am asking this. Could it be, I'm asking this for reasons connected to motion control rig camera work. Where we can shoot slower frame rates at slow shutters for model photography over long duration movements. So it's pretty legit, my question I ask........ Thanks for taking my questions serious.........

If you put instant coffee in a microwave oven and shoot it with the warp-speed effect aren't you instantly e-mailed Stephen Hawkings cell-phone number?

we are just making fun of the fact the panasonic would put that in there not you. It is all in good fun. And live long and prosper to you as well
