C300: What is the best C300 settings/custom profiles to eliminate green skin tones??

I've been shooting a bunch with the TrueCine and TrueLog custom profiles, and they have worked great outdoors and are amazing to work wit. However if I'm indoors, in true tungstan light, the skin tones almost always have a green hue to them. Fluorescent practicals obviously push the green even further.

When I'm editing my own footage its not a huge deal, but when handing off to the client right after shoot, I'd like the footage to not have that green tint. Here's a quick sample of a recent shot, recorded in TrueCine, ungraded. The only light in the room was a 500w Omni in a softbox

First thing to do is check your firmware. If you're running one of the more recent firmware's, you should not be using TruCine or TruLog as the colorimetry of the camera has slightly changed enough make those CP's not work as intended. Otherwise, you may want to try adjusting the CP's yourself to make tungsten versions. Try changing the value of R-G or B-G and see where that gets you.

Since lighting can vary depending on the circumstances, why not shoot a little chart off the top so you have a true reference to judge from. It's really rather hard to judge from a compressed still pic.

Sure thing, hope you find them useful. The new colorimetry of the C300 (which matches the C100 and C500) is much nicer and more accurate, IMO. It also eliminates the high-contrast colored aliasing bug that showed up sometimes in the early color profile.

The new profiles that I made work quite nicely in many, but not all, situations. Most importantly, test test test before doing a big shoot and make sure it has the color response you want. And don't be afraid to tweak them to your liking. There's a lot going on under the hood in these cameras, and the more you know about how it works, the better prepared you'll be in any given situation!
