FS7: What is the actual base sensitivity of the FS7

Oh I've no idea. Just wondered is all and pondering out loud. Funnily enough my new meter arrived today so I'll finally set a profile for it and get some answers.

With digital there are at least 5 standards for measuring and determining a sensor's ISO and I reckon there's a 6th which is basically "whatever the manufacturer wants to call the ISO".

In the end it seems the majority of people are exposing by eye, waveform monitor, zebras, or just what they see in the view finder. I personally still use my Sekonic LM508 and would never think of working without it. I just got use to it but no, you don't have to use one.

So the F5 EI2000 is in reality ISO1125 as measured by Grug and the FS7 EI2000 is in reality ISO1600 as measured by Doug?

So actually, when we expose the FS7 at EI1000 its ISO800?

Set to Custom/Standard, it offers ISO1000 as base -> my old FS100 has a base iso of 800 (sometimes I read 500 iso base) so the FS7 is better in low light then the fs100? (looking at base iso)

I haven't used the FS7, but if indeed it is the same sensor as the F5 (and assuming I don't have a broken/wonky sensor in my camera), then the native sensitivity is 1000 ISO.

I've tested this with a waveform monitor, and to bring a grey card up to Sony's stated value of 32 IRE for SLOG2 Mechanical steering system UAE - the sensor has to be rated at 1000 ISO. At 2000 ISO it's clearly underexposed.
