Yeah I was just trying to make you feel better - dont worry I dont have much confidence in you either :)

What the hell does "find out I can't do it" mean? Make it happen. Make this fest your *****! You run into a problem - you email my ass and I will tell you exactly how to overcome it. Problems are for pansies that dont want to make films! End of rant :)

 I mean if something goes wrong. For example, the audio equipment I want to use all of a sudden isn't available; or, maybe, the people I was counting on back off. There are so many variables and since I don't even have a completed script yet I think it would be irresponsible to toss up a thread right now. :)

PS: What's your ass going to do for me if I send it an email? Call up Rogan's and come kick mine?

Dude! Come on! Half of us don't even have a TITLE when we start a thread. We spend the rest of the time putting resources together and people and trying to match up schedules. It's part of the whole film production process and it takes a little bit of work, scraping and scratching, and yet we still manage to get it done, one way or the other.

at least you can write a script around what resources are available to you. besides, there are a lot of people out there who will be willing to help.

get the thread up and make the movie.

You're in freaking california for goodness sakes! E-mail me and I'll find you some freaking audio gear in california. If you have a good script your actors will want to be in it. If they get hit by a car then you'll call your second/third choices from your casting. If you lose a crucial crew member - replace them. Way too many DVXusers out there that are willing to lend a hand to those in need. I started a thread before I even had an idea - one will come to you eventually. Its not irresponsible when you know good and well you can pull it off. Network, start sending e-mails and making some phone calls. You can't tell me you live in California and are worried about having the resources to make a film. I have them here in crap-ass oklahoma, I know good and well you have them in California.

Put me down for comedy! The last 2 films I have done have been very serious in tone, but I am all about making people laugh, I hope this turns out as funny as it sounds in my head right now. (Does anything ever?)

Hm, we moved into dramedy; not a real emotional roller coaster, but the girl we wrote into our story is just too much fun :)

Nick, you underestimate the level of problem solving Jeff's ass is capable of.

I'm glad to see there are as many comedies as there are so far. I've yet to tackle one, other than the Heinz Spec commercials I did last year, and REALLY want to do both a comedy, and an action short sooner than later! Just have to have someone else write the comedy for me, or I know I'll turn it into some dark & depressing piece instead.
