We're cutting 1080p30, in a native timeline in FCP, we bring in some keys from motion to finish it, then export it to a digital master for compression.
What is the best codec to export as? We'll archive the digital master but also use it to render out to a bunch of different formats like wmv, h.264, DVD.
Should we render out as a DVCPRO HD, with recompress all frames un-checked?
We could render out as uncompressed, but our files would be massive.
Rendering out to PROres seems to be an act of compressing compression and we think it adds a bit of noise.
