Looks like sh*t. And you cannot talk about difference between how 35mm handles motion differently form a video camera and then show an example of footage transferred at 15fps.
because all i wanted to show is that MOVEMENT of actor when shot on 35mm film reminds you about most TV shows and motion pictures when you look at it, after like 2 seconds you know that its motion picture and not home video.
anyone have any 35mm film camera footage that was shot like a home video would be?
If film looks like shi* to you then what more can i say ? It was captured in 24p but it doesnt matter that its delivered in 15 fps because blur and movement looks the same like in most tv shows shot on film.
My point is if you will show that 7D looks like film when shot with 50mm lens on infinity then i will admit that im halucinating or something and 24p in 7d and 24p of film is the same thing. Its not.

OK here you have "home video" shot on film and i admit it looks terrible , worst film footage ive seen ,youve got to know what youre doing when you shooting ,not everyone can be DP,but distracting is way the camera is handled ,like a camcorder ,you dont see any proper framing for a movie here:

Ryan, you really want to have a conversation about if video can look like film and film like video...???

Well, "film" will always look like film (higher dynamic range, 24fps) but it can't look cinematic without lighting. Look at this film for example, shot entirely on 35mm film and it looks like crap.
Well that is because parts of that are not film....
Everyone quickly sprang into action and captured one of the shots that most people say is one the best shots on my demo.
Now, this is the exception and not the rule. When people stare at this shot and ask, "how did you do this", I say "sometimes you just show up and turn the camera on - but not very often do you find yourself on the edge of one the 7 natural wonders of the world with beautiful models and the finest light show God can provide."
I classify lighting control under the same category as lighting. Spraying light without control isn't "lighting", so I consider the proper use of lighting control as part of lighting. Therefore, if someone is controlling the light properly, they're "lighting", and it wouldn't look like home videos.Lighting control is very important

Control comes in many ways, from flags to silks to nets to reflectors to mirrors, to just knowing where to position oneself to make the existing light most flattering to the subject.
Hah! Excellent answer.I guess the right answer would be DARK.
Or, home movies. The correct question should be what do high end cameras look like with a cinematographer who knows nothing about lighting. The answer there is often crap.
Agreed.I guess you could say, there is always lighting if you have the eye to see it and the skill to use it. That takes practice.
