WHat do you use your DVX for?

Yes, I spotted that from very early on.:bath:

Man that smiley can hold his breath...

My brand new DVX100b will be here tomorrow between 4 and 5pm... I cant wait.

First thing that will be shot will be a "test skit". We will come up with something and start filming/messing with all the settings. At the same time we will be shooting with our GL1, for comparison...

Then this weekend I am heading up to Discovery Bay, to my Uncles. Im going to try and get as many shots as I can, just going to try and learn the camera.

Then it will be used for Skits, Weddings, Concerts, Music videos, and we would really like to shoot a few films. We have been working on a Thriller/Horror idea...

Its like christmas eve...:Drogar-BigGrin(DBG)

well they want to be in your shoes because they are jealous filmmaking is paying the bills. I know, even thought I am only a freshman in college, that I want to make films for the rest of my days. And I want it to be my career path, as in also paying my bills. Those kids you used to school with are jugglin' one or two jobs and trying to make films on top of it.

your lucky man. hope you're happy.

cheers.

Oh i am very happy. And i definintly appreciate my fortune in being able ot do this for a living. There are FAR worse jobs out there. I think the reason i did well quickly was that i have "nothing" to lose in this job. Because it isnt neccesarily my first passion, ( it is one of them, but not #1, that position goes to sculpture and Video art) i never had any qualms about whether i could do the job or not. IT was just like, a skill that i had that i apply and get paid for. I guess im kinda nonchalant about the job because its a visual task and that (thank god) comes very naturally to me. Also being bussiness minded kinda helps too. I know that sounds terrible, but i wouldn't know the first thign about a script, or story. but i know how to take a pretty picture, make it fit a script and being a DP; thats pretty much alot of the job.

But i found a new passion while working on Horror Fest , is that i LOVE making special effects and makeup.... its like SCulpture... but it shoots blood out of it. Thats great.
