I bought the Shogun Inferno with a B-cam in mind, but the purchase of the B-cam itself I postponed after GH5 announcement (it will either be the GH5, or a new A7 if Sony comes out with 10-bit video recording model). In the meantime, I'm preparing a concept of the future rig for a mirrorless camera - of course, as mobility will be its main advantage, I'll only rig it out for occasions where I'll be rather stationary and use my Shogun. I've seen some interesting accessories by Edelkrone, including the EVF/monitor holder which uses the camera's hot shoe as the only fixing point. IMHO, the Shogun weight (and especially the torque it would exert) would be too much for any small camera hot shoe - but perhaps I'm wrong... What do you guys think?

My personal experience with EVF Holder is not good. I had to return it. They said it was just in my case and they have never seen this before. So it was probably just my unit. I had Inferno mounted with batteries (Edelkrone confirmed before that weight of Inferno with batteries is ok), tightened it and after couple moves with Inferno my holder got loosed. So test your holder before 14-days return period.
Anyway build quality is great and I dont think I shouldn't damage hot shoe.

EDIT: you can mount it in a different way, check their videos, so it will not perform any torque.

the ads picture show a Manfrotto 504 head - wondering why they didn't mount the EVF on the Manfrotto 504 screw hole
