What do you guys do with old versions of FCP?

They give them to me and you should too. Oh, you didn't know this? It's a new thing, starting, oh tonight. How it works is simply PM me, I'll give you my address and you can ship that right on to me. In fact, I'll pay shipping no worries, in fact everyone at DVXUser can do that. I'm a Mac users don't forget. I also take old hardware, DVX100s, PDX10s, camera bags, whatever, it's fine, just send it. I'll be waiting for that PM.

If those versions have been used to upgrade to a new version, they cannot be sold because they support the upgrade

But take for example FCP 7. All I needed was the serial number from the last Studio. But DO people sell their older versions?? They are big boxes that take up lots of room, and I just wonder if everyone else has a shelf of older versions or if they get rid of them in one fashion or another whether it be selling or shipping them to some guy in Chicago.

Send them to that guy in Chicago. He could use them, at least version 6. And you'll get a producer credit in the next film. That's gotta sweeten the pot!

I think I still have my Commodore 64 around here somewhere.....
I actually do still have a Commodore 64. Thought about installing FCE on it, but can't find the software on 5.25" floppy.

I've tossed the boxes/books and kept the DVD's of the last version of FCP. The old DVD sleeve has the serial number on it needed to install the upgrade and the old FCP DVD is the only way to install LiveType if I need to install it again (LiveType is not included in the New FCP).
