About to purchase a new vehicle and was curious what other are using for transportation. I have Ford full size suv that holds my 6 c-stands, kino flo, arri kit and camera package fine. And when needed a dolly and track. So what are others using?

I've got a Nissan Quest I am in love with. Holds a full sectional couch with all of the seats down, holds 7 people with em up. Most of the time I keep the 4 buckets up and the rear bench down and have the best of both worlds. Also has an electric rear lift gate and sliding doors which I thought I didnt care about - totally the coolest thing ever when your hands are full. Great roadtripper too, nice and smooth and quiet.

Dodge Grand Caravan. It's the same as the Chrysler Town and Country... rolls off the same assembly line, gets a Dodge emblem on Monday and a Chrysler emblem on Tuesday.

They handle beautifully and can pack either a ton of gear and two people or a decently-lit two-cam shoot with audio and three or four people. I worked full-time for the in-house production unit of a cable network company, and when they would fly us somewhere for a shoot, they'd ship the gear ahead by courrier (cheaper than flying it). We'd get to the airport and a rental would be waiting for us, which was a Grand Caravan or Town and Country about 98% of the time. It was through those trips that I really learned to love them as production vehicles, so when it came time to get a new vehicle for myself that's what I bought.

And you won't get good mileage out of any larger vehicle, but you'll get much better mileage from a Grand Caravan than you will a full-sized SUV.

Had a Subaru Forester that I recently outgrew with all of the gear needed for bigger shoots.

Upgraded to a Honda Odyssey Touring.

Can fit crew of 4 and lots of gear with the 3rd row seats folded into the floor....love it!

A Ford Exploder. I can pack quite a bit in it with the seats down. Thank God for those endless hours of Tetris. And to think my Mom said I was wasting my time with video games. Hah!

2007 Ford Focus SE. Could use something with more storage space but otherwise it's great.

(Haha the only picture I have of my car)

I race a lot on weekends so I wanted something go fast. I tote gear from time to time so I wanted something kind of roomy. I'm a family of five so I wanted something safe and smooth-ridin.

2006 Dodge Ram / Quad Cab 4x4. Not the best on gas but it hauls all my gear. If
I need to pull a trailer, I can. Four wheel drive is nice for obscure locations here in
southern Nevada.

Mazda RX8 Twin rotary, at a pinch it will hold a Pelican case!
In fact maybe I should just fill it with pick and pluck foam and do away with the case.
