What do you drive?

Ok. Up until last year, I was driving a Smart Car, but now a GTI.

1983.5 vw vanagon camper.
holds a ton of gear and has places for people to crash. pop the top and i've got a wardrobe/makeup trailer and you can cook in it so craft services as well.
not a fan of the mileage but it's no worse than the element at 20 mpg.

I drive a 2002 Volvo V70XC... 160,000 miles and counting. Two main reasons why I love this car:

1. I live here:

(aka Buffalo, where we get 2 foot accumulations in one storm - AWD sure comes in handy)

2. I can do this:

(This isn't even the fullest I've had the car)

Gotta love it! Swedish engineering all the way!

I've stopped driving (I'm in a big city and prefer cabs). But back in the day I rode a motorbike. Suzuki GSX

Last car I owned I was living in London, when I owned the Suzuki GSX motorbike I was living in Australia.
NYC is so compact, its more convenient for me to rent or pay someone to drive as I don't want to deal with finding a park.
If I was somewhere away from a huge city (I live fairly central) than I would own a car. I actually love driving (or riding) country roads.

I know they say it's a 'chick' car.... but that 1994 Miata (5-speed) is a hell of a lot of fun to drive fast.
It's kind of like a go-cart compared to the Road Runner, but that's a different story all together!

Happy New Year!
