What do I need to install in order to get the P2 Native option in FCP’s Log and Trans

If you are using an HVX200 or HPX170 then you do nothing. Those cameras do not need transcoding with FCP and Log and Transfer will give you Quicktime wrapper DVCPro HD files. If you want Pro Res you must do it after the transfer.
 
What version of FCP are you using?

If it is FCP 6x or later, then you use log and transfer to access the files. And you cannot transcode to pro res when log and transferring.
 
It gave me an error( I did not make a screenshot of it and I’m not able to provoke the error message again ) but it said something about the hardware not being supported or having the right interpreter.

But after that error message I am now able to see my shots from the P2 card connected via USB, and it transfers just fine, even though I don’t have the P2 plugin installed.

Which benefits would the Panasonic P2 plugin give?



I am now able to log & transfer files from AG-HVX200E to FCP however the material is not 1280x720p, but 960x720p, a bit weird?
