what difference between gh13 and gh17 ?

The GH13 is the original hack, the GH17 is the newer hack for GH1's made in 2011.

You can follow the instructions in my signature, it will work for any GH1.

You'll be making it a GH17, since it's newer, but this doesn't actually mean much. The only difference is that newer bodies seem to suffer from somewhat less noise at high ISO. Other than that, they are identical.

How is the banding in the 2011 models compared with the earlier ones. I had one of the bad ones and now use a GH2 which I like very much.
 
I think the people that named it like prime numbers. LOL! They are talking of calling the GH2 hack the GH23, which is also prime. After that, GH29 or GH31?
