What cha Think?

That was great! Wish I could find that many people to help me out on "a little video". Were they all friends and/or neighbors? I'm ok with music videos but this one.....I really, really, really liked!!!

wow that was cool
and for once the song didnt sound over produced, faults are unique!

did you use an adapter for this shoot?

what did ya do in post to get that look?

wow. cool. that was certainly not a "little video". did you use an adapter? looks like you did. nice images.

Perfect. Don't change a thing.

No offense to anyone else... but it's really great to see a video with some originality to it, not just shots of a band in a garage or warehouse. Very impressive.

I liked it quite a bit. Nice choice of shots. Details on what you did in post and anythinh you used to shoot it. How long did it take?

Thanks for all the encouraging remarks. I'm glad so many people like it. This video was done for a local band in the Orlando area and we'd been taling about making a video for a while. They had enough fans to put a bit of a crowd together and with the help of the neighborhood we were able to shoot it in a weekend. The Opening scene and a few throughout were done using a homemade DOF which gave it that nice distinct look. Unfortunetly we were in a bit of a rush and working with an adapter does make the shooting more complicated so much of it was done without to ease the run and gun process. In post some Magic bullet presets were tweaked until the desired look was attained along with some general CC and Luma key usage. All in all I've been very pleased with the way the video turned out. Thanks for checking it out..

don't clowns travel in VW bugs??? j/k

that was pretty tight and i agree with vitaluminosa that was pro. my only question what did you use for the tracking shots? stablizer or dolly of some sorts. oh and was that a crane or jib?

Great freakin job man. Technically it was real nice, the cuts and shots were above average, but the concept is where you hit a homerun with this one man. I really felt like I was watching MTV or something, it didnt feel like something produced by an amateur at all. It was a very original idea, the pacing was great, man it was just awesome. Any monkey can learn the technical aspects (dont get me wrong, it aint easy!) but to be able to come up with a concept and the IDEA is what i believe sets us apart from all the rest.

great pretty pictures , was very coooooooooooool my eyes and ears were very happy , i liked the music , the editing , the whole ocncept and great color correction, what program did u use do edit on wafre ???

peace n luv

Prettty Much all pf my gear is homemade. I have a 10 foot jib which was used in a couple shots and a homebuilt stabilizer is responsible for the vast majority of running shots. Sometimes I would go handheld just to give it more energy. I also built a custom three wheeled rotational Barrowdolly which is basically a grown up version of the skater-dolly. By rotating the wheels you can set any point as the center of rotation. This was used in the Cul-de-sac though most of the shots wern't used because they were too smooth and lacked the energy I wanted. I ended up using the shakey parts from when I mounted the crane on the dolly. I posted a thread about making it in the DIY section http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/showthread.php?t=51964 Thanks again for all the feedback. I'm so glad so many people like it.
