What cameras are used for COPS???

Hi guys!

I often wondered what cameras they use on Cops? 'Coz I really like the night shots they do (technically!)...

How many people are with the cameraman???
Anybody knows??? I tried to search the net and of course this forum, but couldn't find anything...

They are using Sony XDCAM's

There is a cameraman and a lighting/audio tech....2 man crews. There are several crews for each city when they shoot.
 
I remember in 1990 when the Sony BVW-400 Betacam camcorder came out, I took delivery of sn 10022 and the first shoot it did was for COPS. Wow, that show has legs! Think of how many trailer parks they've captured in all that time!!

sure as hell not handheld, cops moves pretty quick all those ops be on the shoulder, and with the hypergain type work you gota have the bigger chips
