Hi Everyone,

What button do you press in the sound menu to access the 84 mbps mode?

How does the look of the 84 mbps mode compare to the default 45 mbps mode? Does anyone have any video or photo comparisons?

Thanks
David

I don't understand what you're talking about

are you trying to change the qscale parameter of magic lantern?

you do get an extra bump for sound. The sound internally if i remember is compressed at 48kbps. So you would get an extra 46Kbps for video, not Mbps.

what you may have read was 44.1 kbps which is another standard audio bit rate.

When Magic Lantern opened up the Qscale parameter, a lot of folks here were experimenting with how high the bitrate could go.

If you turned off audio recording in the ML menu (I don't think you can turn off audio from the stock Canon menu), it would save enough bandwidth in the stream to push the video bitrate that much higher.

I don't know where the OP got the numbers he is posting, but it sounds like he read about one of the Qscale experiments and misinterpreted what it means.
