AC/DC is releasing a new album. I saw them on June, 23rd, 1988 during their "Blow up your videos" tour. That and Queen 1980 were the best shows I've seen. So, a bit of the semi-forgotten AC/DC 1980's.

I'd prefer a live video but, as most of those songs are not prominent on their recent tour sets, one might as well rummage through their MTV inspired bits.

audio only

here too

Those "Fly on the Wall" clips look to be done on the same set with the same group of actors and more resembling the earlier Quiet Riot videos.

The first one was a Slade cover, as is this

Side note - music for "Rawhide" was written by Dimitri Tiomkin (Дмитрий Зиновьевич Тёмкин), a Russian-Jewish immigrant. The lead singer of Quiet Riot (late) Kevin DuBrow and his brother, a prominent LA area plastic surgeon Mark, are also Jewish and also likely of Russian origins, with their last name undergoing an orphographic change from Dubrovski or Dubrovnik.

Trying to find a song tonight to say thank-you. All slow balads. Thats not what I want. I want a happy rock out song. What is with this sht?

I first heard of Dido when this became the theme song for Roswell.

Speaking of theme songs (if anyone recalls these)

When disco was in.

Or surf-rock.

And pre-disco funk

And 1970's country-pop.

And MTM ... with an edge.

And a 60's sound.

And more surf rock.

DLD. Your second on on Quiet Riot - Bang Your Head (Metal Health) [Official Video] was not available. This one works in "My Country" hahah.

Some film music.

Francis Lei.

And more Francis Lei.

Johnny Mandel

Nino Rota

Charles Buffalino asked me personally to link to Al Martino. And, you know, if you refuse Charles, he'll never ask for another favor.

Michel Legrand (with some Russian film clips, unrelated to the original).

Technically not written directly for the film. By Herman Hupfeld.

Walter Jurmann

Act 3 of the "Merry Widow", with Bo Skovhus, Petra-Maria Schnitzer, Lydia Teuscher, et al., from Dresden's Semper Opera.

A little bawdy but is a superior staging to the Met. Here, the Germans actually use ballet dancers for the cancan (Die Grisettelied) and a march (Weibermarsch).

And, if anyone wants to follow the plot, it's entirely idiotic. But, just in case, there are close captions.

I heard my dad playing this song on the accordian since as long as I can remember. Since my birth basically hahaha.
So much so infact when I first played the mini accordian he bought me at 9 yrs old I could already play it with no lessons
(a simplfied version, the key melodies). I kid you not. :) Whatever keyboards I owned over the following years whenever I
came home from being out I would often find him on my keys playing that song. :)
