I didn't know I liked Tchaikovsky.
After this brilliant performance I am now with an underscore!
(Notice Yuja's not using sheet music in this one).
DLD said:Their drummer Alexander Demeshko was given a Ringo Starr treatment and allowed a song per show. The song was categorized as too bawdy and, with a drum solo, wasn't allowed to be included on any record. Nonetheless, a video clip was made. "I got a headache" (1971)
Done to a prerecorded audio track and, in those days, on a super tight budget. It looks like they had two cameras in the studio and even a set for a mini-film. The band was super-popular and they existed under the protection of the very important regional poobahs and were allowed way more leeway than lesser groups. And it was the only band to actually tour the US back in 1976-77 along with the New Christie Minstrels.I find myself repeatedly replaying the part where he drops his stick in the drum solo.
The audio doesn't seem to reflect that though,or does it? haha. Still, nice recovery. Oy ...
DLD said:Mulyavin again on the song he wrote, which was sort of like their "Stairway to heaven". This was from the late 1980's/early 90's where there was no censorship anymore and their lead guitar player imagined himself as the Belorussian Eddie van Halen.
