What are you listening to now ?

You want something weirder?

CBS Los Angeles hasn't updated in half a day, though it does have the LAPD denial.

But, on a different page, it has him as one of the "celebrities we lost in 2017".

PS. Tom and Garry Shandling were good friends and neighbors. I met Garry at that very store. Garry died at 66.

(not music but close enough, bad language)

For something completely different. This is a Russian band named A'Studio with the cover version of the 1970's Soviet hit that was originally (and here) performed in its native Georgian. The lead is Katy Topourri, a native Georgian herself.

That Dudley Moore Rolls-Royce clip from "10" reminded of my own brush with a Rolls.

Summer of 1988. I am driving from Hollywood to the beach via Sunset. Suddenly, a red light flashes on the dashboard of my 1978 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme. By then, I am familiar with the drill. The gaskets are leaking and I need to replace the motor oil. I pull into a gas station on Doheny and Sunset. A few seconds later, the same Rolls as in "10" pulls up next to me. The driver gets out at about the same time as I do. We stand five feet from one another. I look at him. he looks at me. I ask, "Do you want to swap cars?" He gives me a smirk and walks away. Some people have an unwarranted sense of superiority, I say.

In any case, since tonight is Halloween, here's a tribute to the late, great Rod Temperton, a songwriter of these few tunes. Sadly, Rod passed away about a year ago at the age of 66.

(as some of you might remember, the music starts about 4:30 in)

And here's Rod himself on the keyboard with the Heatwave.

here, he is just a songwriter.

Haha!
On the other hand I think that possessions can make people uneasy in some situations.

Talking about Michael Jackson, here he is with his brothers in the first Jackson Five song for Motown almost 50 years ago.

Yuri Mazurok was a Polish born Soviet baritone, who played all the "big house" across the globe. Because he was actually great and people loved him.

Mr. X's aria (abbreviated) from the "Circus Princess" (Kalman; Grünwald, Brammer, 1926)

Pali Rasz's aria from "Zegeinerprimas" (Kalman; Wilhelm, Grünbaum, 1912)

Tassilo's aria from "Gräfin Mariza (Kalman; Grünwald, Brammer)

I share this fan-made video for a song by Rostam, a member of the band Vampire Weekend who released his first solo album. I have no idea where the creator obtained the images, but they are stunning and fit the music remarkably well.
