What are you listening to now ?

Not a big listening fan of Weather Report as much as I love Jaco Pastorius's bass playing.

I'm not exactly sure what this is.
Tom Waites anyways, while browsing Weather Report songs..

If anything, just a little history note, so I figured, sure, it's worth a post..

well, here you go. I first came across this guy around '79.
Pretty poo pooing weird.

You decide. I'm just passing it on.

//edit: Yeah, I never really got into him. But, I bought one of his records on a recommendation back in 78, so, wth.

Tomita.

I met Jaco a few times. An incredibly sweet man but messed up beyond belief. So sad. Man he could play though, pure genius.

I'm a little surprised anyone knows who he is. But then again, I suppose around here I shouldn't be.

He was an inspiration no doubt.

I'm not sure how heavy you are into bass.
And I've posted a lot of this girls videos.

Tal Wilkenfeld.

This may not be the best video, in fact it's not even a video, it's pictures, with music.
But google or you-tube her. She's great.

That was Nirvana? Haha. Cool. I was going to say, I'd go up and jam with those guys haha.

Looks like fun to me. Good stuff. If I was in bar and they were up there, I'd be right in that shi*. That's too much fun. Gotta love rock.

//It might look a bit weird having some old ****er up there though. Hard to say, lololol. Ehhhh.

No one remembers the 60's :Drogar-SunGlass(DBG

I'm not huge on the 60's but there were some good bands. The Beatles for one.

If you haven't seen the Gimme Shelter video of the Stones at Altamont you should try and check that out.

Two of several of my faves:

Jefferson Airplane: White Rabbit
This song was part of the soundtrack for the movie Go Ask Alice. I also read the book which was 100X better. But still a good retro flick today.
You might recognize one of the kids in the park as the daughter of the Mama's and the Papa's. A little trivia for you there.

//edit:

I see Joe Hahn directed the Link Park video I posted a few posts ago. I really liked that video, and the song.
