What are you listening to now ?

One more Agnetha. My favourite from back when. '

I'll give the avatar another few days then I'll be done with it. I thought it was a nice painting or worthy of a painting. Painting I think. Anyways...

Right this moment - Ride of the Valkyries - from "Die Valkyrie" 4:18 American Symphony Orchestra Edison Diamond Disc 80638-R Classical instrumental

Allen Toussaint - "The Bright Mississippi"

It's rich, it struts, and there's sass. Among other gems, it contains compelling recordings of "St. James Infirmary" and "West End Blues."

Was thinking about this... and found them..

Satrini #9. Bluesy beginning with a nice overall progressive groove.
(I enjoy it better to open in a new tab and just listen to it while I'm browsing, rather than watching the video. )

There's nothing quite as satisfying as listening to a recording you made yourself.. and for the last two nights, I've been listening to an audition recording of a young and promising pianist who could be the next Vladimir Horowitz, playing Maurice Ravel's "Ondine" from Gaspard de la nuit. Even more amazing is that I made the recording using the audio inputs on my Sony EX1, and a couple of studio condenser mics. Now I can feel confident that the camera's audio is as good as its picture.

I'll let you know when it's published. The competition that my client's son is entering isn't til the end of the month. After it's over, there should be no problem posting a link. I'll announce it, probably in the XDCam EX forum.
