I will be there as well as several other HMC users, but most of the HMC users I know are not active on this board...there loss.
 
If you guys want to get together and talk that would be cool. I have been using these camera's since they became available and love em. I didn't know until recently my favorite board for dvx had a HMC section.
 
I wish we were going this year but maybe next year... Are you speaking this year Mark???

Hi Phil,

Too bad, wish you could be there. Yes, we are speaking...We are doing a renewal of vows on Tuesday and then speaking on the HMC150 Wednesday morning and Same Day Edits on Wednesday night.

I have the same pistol by the way and have thought about doing the same thing myself a few times...

Are you doing your same day edits with AVCHD??? Or can you not say until after WEVA?

Small world. I bought it right before Clinton put a ban on 15 round clips.

Yes, we are doing Same Day Edits with AVCHD. Since we use Edius, we have to transcode, which made it really tough with a Core 2 Duo laptop. Just over a month ago we bought a Quad Core laptop and it transcodes so much faster, which is really important on Same Day Edits.

During the trade show is best for me. Tuesday I'm doing a VU luncheon at 1:00 and then later will spend a little time in the Edius booth. I have a renweal of vows rehearsal sometime around 4:00 on Tuesday as well. What does Wednesday's trade show look like for you?

Cool thanks... I forgot that you use Edius. I had tried a few times natively with Premiere and my Core 2 Duo laptop and it just does not work, and in the cases where we were going to try to show it at the reception we only had an hour between the Wedding and Reception so trancoding was not really an option, not with that laptop anyway.

Thanks again for the info. Hopefully I will see you guys out at WEVA next time or if we get you into St Louis again....

Not sure about edius. But in FCS3 filming in 720 25p and transcoding into ProRes LT helps reduce the transcode time by a huge amount.
