West Coast Screening

It would be cool if we could meet up for a brunch, early lunch, right before the show at a place nearby. Anyone from around there with recommendations for a good place to eat?

I can't wait!!

yeah I'm just a mile away. There's a pizza place about a block away that we could congregate beforehand and then hike it over. Parkings a ***** anywhere you go around their so it will probably take a little driving around. And be sure to read the signs when parking in the nearby residentials because it's a permit minefield.

I'm kinda suprised that's it's being shown here as it's a small art house theater. Didn't think they were capable of showing revolutionary 4k digital cinema.

i don't know if Nuart does or doesn't have a 4k projector ?? Nuart is a landmark theater

from a april 2006 press release

"Landmark Theaters and owners Mark Cuban and Todd Wagner have announced the purchase of six Sony 4K projectors for their Landmark circuit and reportedly will announce before long that they will buy additional 4K projectors with which to outfit all 58 of their locations. Landmark has had digital projection in many locations for several years"

Its a great theater.. and has 4k built in. the Nuart is pretty big (300+ seats) Remember.. this is a VIP and Reservation holder screening and extra seats open to the public only if available.

Will the CNC'd prototypes be on hand for drooling? Or has the design already changed since the last time we saw them?

Hey Brook, would you like to go as my proxy? If I cannot go, why not a future RED customer in my place? Just looking to help out. No ass kissing required, just call me and tell me about it and pick up any swag or materials that are available. Cool?

there is no RED booth at NY... so you wont likely be seeing machined bodies.
I think they were talking about the West Coast one, as opposed to the stop in NY next week.

Is it just the one screening on that day? 300 seats don't seem like that many.

I guess they're have to be a contest to see who can sit in the extra seats. I don't think all the people who put down money live in the LA area.
