Werewolves Music Video

Video for London band Werewolves who broke up shortly after this video was filmed. The police turned up at the shoot as people had called in claiming we were having an illegal rave. Luckily they were nice guys and once they saw what we were doing and assured them we'd be done before 10pm they let us carry on.

constructive feedback very much welcome

Looks good. It would have dope if they changed clothes or the setting changed when you went back and forth between the rooms. Like having the room empty then go to the band then when it came back to the room it was filled with people. I kept thinking it was going to switch up. I also think a few more close ups of the lead singer would have helped. The location was fantastic. the empty room just bothered me a little bit. And illegal rave going on in that room would have been amazing. quality was great. What camera?

cam was hvx200.

we had actually planned (albeit on the day) to have the band playing in the empty room at the same time, but problems with the footage (i.e different light, changes to camera level) meant we couldn't get it looking how we want it to so the idea was abandon and we made the best with what we got.

i think the most annoying thing is as you say close ups of the singer. this was another problem in that he wouldn't always 'sing' the words. he would trail off alot of the time so we would have to cut to another shot of the band

I actually like the idea of the camera moving to the other room constantly; however, it would have been much better if you had something going on there that would contrast with the band playing. Simply tracking to any empty room seems pointless.

The quicktime video looked good and streamed quickly. What compression settings did you use to make it?

i exported the quicktime from FCP then ran it through MPEG Streamclip. I cant remember the exact settings sorry but I did run through a few before got one that was a decent size/quality
