A Groom's Golf Swing

Very nice - made me smile on a rainy morning here in London.
I especially like the 'six-million-dollar-man' moment, and the big drum as his club hit the ground.

The blur looks a slow shutter i'd say around 1/60, also it does appear to be shot 24/25 fps and not overcranked to 50/60fps then slowed in post ?

Actually I shot it in 720p 60fps and then slowed it an additional 40% in FCP on the closeup. I actually had to increase the speed of the shot 200% for the first section to show his speed in realtime. I had to add the sound of a golf swing back and some birds into the original to sell it as a normal speed shot.

It was a pretty sunny day on the golf course near Napa Valley (Novato to be precise). I used the highest ND filter setting to cut down the light. I didn't use any color correction, but I suppose that the groom's shirt is slightly red, and I'll probably fix that before finishing the impromptu wedding DVD. I was a groomsman, so I couldn't get as much footage of the actual ceremony, but I got some neat shots of the reception and the dancefloor.

Haha "My Mind's Playin' Tricks On Me" by the Geto Boys? Seems a little... out of place for this one. Haha

But they sampled Hung Up On My Baby by Isaac Hayes which is a really good song.

Anyway, enough music trivia -- I bet the Twixtor Plugin for AE would really make this video great -- I just hate the look of video slow motion.

I agree with Twixtor, I've had my own copy for the last 5 years, and it's my retimer of choice with Shake.
