A short film about a soldier's return from deployment, seeing his son for the first time.

Kerry Mills had previously only interacted with his son online and this highlights his reaction to meeting his son.

This was a passion project so if you like it, please feel free to share it!

Thanks!

I used Kessler PB Slider for the sliding shots and a Glidecam HD-4000 for the end.

Very nice job!> Please share:

• What was the principle lens?
• Scene profile?
• Treatment/filtration in post?

Thanks,

Ned

Thanks!

We rented a Canon 24-70mm m2, Canon 100mm 2.8L Macro, Zeiss 35mm 1.4, and a Tokina 11-16mm 2.8 ii.

Not sure what you mean by scene profile.

We shot in C-log and used Film Convert with the Canon C-Log profile, and color corrected/graded using Film Convert.

this is quite an exceptional piece. seriously fine editing and overall very fine looking images. were you hand holding the bare camera or was it on a shoulder rig? the shots that were active felt like it was a heavy camera with "no jitters" but rather that heavy creamy camera inertia. is this the C100?
